Satis
Coffee from Satis is a regular treat for me. The coffee is always full flavored and the milk never over heated. One of the best in the area.
I hold both fear & respect for the establishment that chooses to serve the double macchiato in a glass, putting their coffee-making skill on full display to the drinker. Satis did this today and didn’t let me down. I witnessed a wonderfully layered drink, a restrained blanket of microfoam on top, with thin milky tendrils seeping down into a deep black bed of espresso. My drinking experience also comprised several parts: a mellow waft of milk as I put the glass to my mouth, followed by the clean, sharp espresso, and finishing again with the sweet velvet of the foam. Sublime.
Coffee always has interesting flavour yet goes down well… although left me pretty edgy last time. Must be some organic magical beans.
This little vegetarian place has attracted a loyal following in the last year or so. Deservedly so, their espresso is tasty and the food delicious.
If only they had room for more than four people at a time.
