Little Istanbul
Little Istanbul sits on Anketell street with a bunch of cafes and restaurants. I sat outside, in the marquee under the heater on a typical sunny winter day. It’s in a good spot and the atmosphere wasn’t bad, that is until the buses, vans and cars start zooming by and you have to pause your conversation to let them past. The interior of the restaurant/bar/cafe looked nice and new but I was indicated to sit outside when I ordered my drink. My soy chai was good, but I was a little surprised/disappointed when I saw that they charge $1 for soy milk. Maybe prices in Tuggeranong are just higher. When I went to pay, I wasn’t sure where to go and was gawked at by the chef and a customer, until finally the nice barista said that he can help me. Maybe the waiters were on a break as it was around 1:30pm…

Definitely one of the better cafés in Tuggernong. They do a good flat white and long black and the service is cheerful and friendly. The only problem I can see is they slow right down at peak periods but I guess that’s the price you pay for a good cup.

Great selection of lunch foods and cakes, but they shut at 3 - 3.30pm so no good for after school or late afternoon tea.
