Cafe Morso
While I’ve had a lot of good coffee here in Australia, going back to places is generally one where I’m often unpleasantly surprised because of inconsistent quality and changed baristas. And let’s face it, we’d all rather have a consistently great coffee rather than one amazing and the next mediocre.
Cafe Morso has had a consistently great cup of coffee every single time I’ve been and the breakfasts are spectacularly good. And this is before you even get to its phenomenal location right besides the gently bobbing boats in the sunshine on the James St. Wharf is spectacular. Great place for weekday breakies. Super busy for Sunday brunches so call ahead for reservations if you want that.
Absolutely love having breakfast here in the mornings, particularly business breakfasts.

Great service, great view, and decent (and decently-priced) coffee; a good spot to hang out on the deck with a laptop and watch the water traffic go by. Ignore the meals and nibbles: they’re unfortunately a bit pricey.

If you’re a fan of Turkish coffee, this place make a great demi-tasse of it. Powerful, thick and delicious.
Can’t speak for the other coffee there (yet), but worth the visit if you do like Turkish.
