Smooth and mild flat whites (a bit too milky). Nice comfy couches upstairs

Pretty decent coffee usually. Friendly staff and room to sit but can get busy.

Pleasant coffee (flat white). Always very busy with staff from nearby offices, but staff are still cheerful and friendly. Open for breakfast and lunch Monday to Saturday.

If you’re just after something brown and hot (but not scalding) at $3 a cup, this place could be your new best friend at UC. It’s usually not busy because it isn’t on the main concourse. Sizzle and Mizzuna do a nicer coffee but they’re usually super busy.

Surprisingly OK flat whites from the Refec coffee shop these days (I avoided it for years), but I wouldn’t try ordering anything complicated. Ona coffee beans.

Zierholz roasts their own beans and my flat white was quite strong but very nice. They are mostly a uni pub that sells artisanal beer, cider and wood-fired pizza, but they have an express coffee line.

Sizzle Cafe is an outlet of Sizzle Bento - bizarrely it serves Japanese food, sandwiches, coffee and gelato. Coffee is tasty and consistent, but it can be hard work ordering depending on who’s on the counter. (Cup of XXX misheard as cappuccino, and corr…
