Madeleine’s
Madeleine’s is catered by Zouki and located in the Marian Lounge of Calvary Hospital. They offered me two options of chai (vanilla or spice) which I must say is a first. I opted for a soy spice chai latte. And man was it good! Right temperature, combination and overall yummy. I was pleasantly surprised. The service was friendly and quick. Didn’t feel like a hospital cafe at all, despite the patients in gowns, preggy bellies and eye patches.

If you’re just after something brown and hot (but not scalding) at $3 a cup, this place could be your new best friend at UC. It’s usually not busy because it isn’t on the main concourse. Sizzle and Mizzuna do a nicer coffee but they’re usually super busy.

Usually good to drinkable (flat whites). Part of Tilley’s appeal is that you can sit about reading or chatting for hours without being moved on. Dog friendly (outside).
