Hell yeah…after Starbucks and most other new York coffees, this place was so good I had two.

Another good latte from manhattan reminding me of the Melbourne standard.

One of the better coffee’s I’ve managed to find in the U.S. Ordering a Cappuccino basically got me an Australian Latte(which is what I was after :P). If you’re in desperate need of a decent coffee and you’re in Manhattan, it’s worth the trip.

The only reason I’m giving this cafe a “4” is tie price. $5 for a single origin coffee, and $4 for a single origin iced coffee, both of which are excellent, and dare I say almost worth the price. Alas, I cannot justify paying this every day. Though, on …

Great little café on the west side of 7th Ave. Lefty baristas and arty wastrels, mothers with small children and big dogs, attractively aging men with e-readers of various kinds. My double espressi (I had to have two) were right-on. Some may find their …

Friendly staff and quality croissants accompany the Lavazza coffee at this charming West Village café. My doppio (“double espresso” in NYC parlance) was strong and smooth. Milk-based coffee drinks, both hot and cold, do big numbers it seems, but the bra…

This was the only coffee I had in America that I could stand. I’d probably compare it to good Sydney coffee (which for an American cafe is high praise)

It’s connected with Stumptown coffee in some way, which I believe is some kind of big deal in the …

Birch is a pretty awesome find — it’s a nice little cafe tucked into the bottom floor of The Gershwin Hotel, and has a host of coffee options that are all delicious. They make a mean red eye, and they carry a bunch of excellent beans for taking home.

The coffee drinks have always been great. Only downside is the noisy crowds that sometimes rush in for the adjoining theater productions. Otherwise, one of my favorite spots.
