Carlton espresso
Filled with swarthy Italian men who, at least on my visit, made fairly bland and watery espresso.
Always consistent, sharp bitter Italian coffee. Pricey food but you pay for quality.
Found it through decaf sucks! Sensational. Smooth, round flavoured long black. Happy days.
Carlton Espresso prepares Lavazza Espresso like no other - perfectly balanced authentic Italian cafe. The cappuccino is perfect, cafe latte is gently fused together and the cafe mocha is probably the best you can find in Melbourne. The food and goodies are also of the highest quality that can be found on Lygon Street; naturally also 100% Italiano.
Order a cup of caffe mocha, and you will find all of the mochas you have err had are inferior to this perfect cuppa in Carlton. The balance between chocolate and espresso is perfecto.

Super friendly corner cafe. Decent cup o Joe. People kept coming in and picking up soup at 8.30am so I think it’s something worth trying. Soup for breakfast!
