Kingston Grind
Strong smooth cappuccino comes quickly even with the morning crush happening around them. Some good breakfast options too - scrambled eggs with spinach & fetta is my favourite.
A decent cappuccino that’s not too milky. A nice place to sit on a sunny weekend morning and read the paper. A little bit exxy and service can be on the slow side.
Kingston Grind seems to be doing a pretty good job at holding their own in a suburban centre now bursting at the seams with good coffee spots. The wife and I visited on a busy Saturday afternoon, received some prompt and friendly service, tasty coffee, and a couple of nicely made salads.
Very good coffee in Kingston, on a prime corner spot. The coffee can take a little long to be made at times but is very drinkable, mainstream coffee. No major gripes. A bit expensive (as some others have noted) and not as good as the cheaper Lonsdale St Roasters coffee, but still very good and best I’ve had in Kingston.
Best coffee south of Lake Burley Griffen. Constantly providing me with an excellent quality double shot espresso.
Win. Pretty happy with today’s effort. A little exy @ $3.60 for a single shot espresso with a dab of froth tho…
Kingston Grind is part of the best group of cafes in Canberra which includes Harvest and Group Seven. Have to say though that their long black is not as good as the other guys.
Unfortunately it feels like they have been around a bit long and have got too busy. Maybe I was just there on a bad day?
If you’re hanging out in Green Square, then Kingston Grind is the place you want to get your coffee; though—oddly given they’re the “original” café in their group—they have always been a little lower in quality than both Tonic and Group Seven.
With the exception of the banana bread, the food menu is a little tired. Still, it’s a nice place to sit and get your espresso on.
