Galleon Cafe
Just the perfect third place. Great food, fabulous coffee and consistently lovely staff. The Gal I love you.
We got to Galleon Cafe at 8:30 on a Saturday morning, and in our short half hour there, a queue of about 20 people formed waiting to get a spot at any of the cute 60’s-era melamine tables and chairs. This seemed to be a regular occurrence, because they had butcher’s paper and a marker pen on the door to handle the list. It’s obvious that these guys are doing something right.
This was confirmed by our coffee and food. The short macchiato was very tasty, clean, slightly acidic espresso topped by a generous layer of microfoam. The breakfast menu was expansive, with many variations on eggs & toast, pancakes and vegan options. My lady’s banana and macadamia pancakes were top notch.
