Grindhouse Cafe
Very dark crema in the latte, strong and rich flavour. Not quite in the league of Melbourne’s great cafes, but not far off.
Food is also amazing. Love that they do all day breakfast, and some good vego options.
Super tasty short macchiato. Rich and full-bodied, seemed like a fairly restricted pour. Enjoyed the relaxed place & friendly and responsive service. The courtyard out the back looks like it would be a good spot to enjoy a sunny morning. Grindhouse has a fairly small but interesting breakfast menu, from which we had a delicious pear & strawberry porridge, and avocado mash on toast.

Rustic vegetarian cafe hidden in an alcove off a laneway in busy Balaclava.
They take great pride in their coffee, with a delicious blend and a selection of single origin coffees as well. And the barista has OCD, so the coffee is perfect everytime.
