Coffee Guru, Erindale Centre
Guru is probably the most consistent franchise in Canberra, usually serving you an above average cup regardless of which location you try. The Erindale franchise has disappointed me a couple of times but usually lives up to this expectation of a decent but not amazing cup of coffee. Ambience is non-existent, however, with the cafe being located smack bang in the middle of the Erindale Centre, so get takeaway and get out of there.
Sitting in between woolies, a chemist, a fresh food place, a book stall and a take away place, it’s no wonder these guys are still in business. I had a great chai and the guy who served me was nice and cheerful. However the other staff looked unkempt and I was scared I was going to get sick because they didn’t seem to wash their hands.
When venturing into Canberra’s southern suburbs my expectations for quality coffee are never particularly high, and the Coffee Guru franchise in the Erindale Centre did nothing to change that. That I drank it is probably the best thing I can say.

Definitely one of the better cafés in Tuggernong. They do a good flat white and long black and the service is cheerful and friendly. The only problem I can see is they slow right down at peak periods but I guess that’s the price you pay for a good cup.
