This feels like any other run of the mill office café, but I was greeted with a smile and served an entirely decent art-topped double macchiato (including a query from the barista as to how I would like it). You can do a lot worse than that.
Open early, for those pre-dawn coffee requirements. The owner/barista of this otherwise undistinguished officeworker cafe cares about his customers and provides water for doppio drinkers: bright lights and commercial radio, alas, spoil the ambience. The coffee itself – Piazza d’Oro – is quite acceptable, served with care.

I go here nearly every morning - cappuccino and a warm croissant. The coffee is always smooth and fairly aromatic. Regardless of the barista (and it’s nearly always the same person) I’ve never had a bad cup.
