One of the many cafés in the great French tradition of naming your establishment after something obvious nearby. Les Deux Musées is nestled just in behind the Musée d’Orsay and serves delicious paté alongside fairly bland coffee. Perfectly serviceable, but not much more than that.

Don’t do it. One of the worst I had in Europe. It was espresso (cafe crème) but pretty burnt I think. I don’t think I could make it that bad if I was trying. If you’re really desperate, there’s a Starbucks there too.. at least you might know what you’re…

I visited Coutume twice. The 1st time I had a V60, the second a siphon and brunch. It’s an expensive place, but the coffee is good. €7 for a siphon is pretty expensive in my books, but a V60 is just €3.50. A good thing is that they have a nice little be…

Télescope is the latest arrival on a still-nascent Parisian speciality coffee scene. At time of writing, they’ve been open less than two weeks, but if the cappuccino I just had was anything to go by, it shouldn’t be long before this cosy little salon is…

This little restaurant/café on a quiet street just a couple of blocks from the Louvre is the perfect place to lunch on a summers day in Paris. Beautiful food served by a fantastically French waitress, and only the occasional large group of singing teena…

I thought I’d get one last le petit dejuener on my last in day in Paris, and Lézard Café looked to be a nice shaded place slightly off Rue Montorgueil to relax before cramming myself and my suitcase onto the Metro. Alas, though all the tables were set w…

After a few less than stellar espresso experiences in Paris, and with Decaf Sucks reviews a little thin on the ground in this part of the world, I decided to try some alternative sources for a decent café recommendation. Through the coffeegeek.com forum…
