Le Café des Initiés
This little restaurant/café on a quiet street just a couple of blocks from the Louvre is the perfect place to lunch on a summers day in Paris. Beautiful food served by a fantastically French waitress, and only the occasional large group of singing teenagers wandering by. Their coffee is perfectly acceptable, but if you’re after great espresso I’d head elsewhere.

One of the many cafés and restaurants that line Rue Montorgueil, as is the way in Paris, it’s a nice place to sit facing the street and watch a Paris Sunday go by. Their coffee is a served too hot, but flavourful enough and competently constructed.
