Beess & Co.
Beess & Co. is worth visiting for the pleasant outdoor eating area, where you can enjoy the dappled shade and a view of the tree-lined Yarralumla streets. The coffee here is pretty nice, as is the food (if all for above average prices). Still, likely the best place to enjoy a coffee in Yarralumla.
Strong and tasty flat white, so I had another. Poached eggs, bacon & tomato were also really tasty and worth the few dollars extra. Book ahead on weekends.
Coffee is very acceptable, the clientele well-educated and I suspect well-remunerated. Food is diverse, plentiful and eclectic. The women who run this joint really do have expertly tousled hair: contra deal with the salon next door? I am, however, disturbed by the double-shots of “e” and “s”. Now open on Sundays.
Friendly staff, a lovely shady outdoor seated area and decent coffee. The perfect place to stop off for a drink (and a bite to eat) while riding around Lake Burley Griffin—they are bike accommodating and put up with my sweat and spandex.
