Tutto’s Continental
On the same strip as the Italian Continental Bakery and Cafe, and Bruno’s Truffels, but about half a block up the hill, is Tutto’s Continental. This establishment started as a kitchenware shop/delicatessan, and has gradually expanded to serve coffees and now I believe sandwiches on the tables outside.
If you are only interested in the coffee, it’s not great. Bitter, and not smooth by a long shot. I would have hoped for more from an Italian deli. Maybe it’s me. I’d be interested to read other reviews.
Tutto’s Continental has a huge clientele which come far and wide for the Italian delicatessan range (with good reason). Customers are sometimes served out of turn, which is frustrating when you’ve been waiting awhile. On Saturday mornings, I don’t even bother. Speaking Italian may help get the staff’s attention.
Foodies will enjoy the range of cooking ingredients and Italian packaged food. Don’t miss the fridge and freezer, either. I swear by the frozen lasagnes. The range of kitchenware is huge, but expensive and a little faddish.
