Borneo Coffee
Definitely one of the better cafés in Tuggernong. They do a good flat white and long black and the service is cheerful and friendly. The only problem I can see is they slow right down at peak periods but I guess that’s the price you pay for a good cup.
Accidentally found this cafe just I was heading up the escalator. I decided to check it out and they make one of the best chai lattes in Tuggeranong. They offer lactose free milk (not soy) as an alternative which is the first I’ve seen. It was delicious. I would rate it much higher except that they charge $4.80 for a small takeaway, 80c for soy or lactose free milk and you only get every 8th cup free, so I wouldn’t want it to be my regular coffee place. They’re also not the friendliest bunch of people first thing in the morning, maybe you have to be a regular. They do sell a bunch of coffee goodies, and are probably one of two decent coffee places in the area.
Located on the ground floor in the Hyperdome, I was’t expecting much, however it was very drinkable, even if the flat white wasn’t as strong as I would have liked. Great to have an alternative to Brew Bar. They use Ona Coffee.
