Debacle
Many moons ago I was a regular at Debacle; they had fantastic breakfast, cute wait-staff, beer on tap and a decent coffee. Eventually though the breakfast became more expensive and less delicious, and the coffee became almost undrinkable.
For years I’d avoided visiting there for anything other than beer consumption, today I thought it’d had been long enough and I’d give it another go. Not long enough apparently. The coffee tastes just as terrible as I’d remembered—at least the beer was good.

One of the nicer restaurants in eclectic Braddon, Kitschen also opens at around 8:30am on weekdays. This morning they served me a rather tasty double macchiato - perfect temperature, not too milky, and bold flavour with just a touch of acidity.

The long black here is middling to good. A little weak maybe. The breakfasts are excellent so the combination of food and coffee make this a worthwhile option. But if it is just coffee you are after head around the corner into Lonsdale St.
