Abbey Road
Double macchiato was a tad burnt, but otherwise, nice and short with good milk/espresso separation. Plenty of other things going for this place though: friendly pub-style feel, interesting breakfast menu (soft boiled eggs & soliders!), and the only Acland St place open for breakfast at 7:30am on a weekday.

Rustic vegetarian cafe hidden in an alcove off a laneway in busy Balaclava.
They take great pride in their coffee, with a delicious blend and a selection of single origin coffees as well. And the barista has OCD, so the coffee is perfect everytime.
